My name is Amelie. My son's name is James; he is non-verbal and doesn't really understand instructions, so patience is key. He has Hunter syndrome, a degenerative disease. He is calm, doesn't have tantrums, and is warm-hearted. He entertains himself most of the time. He needs his chewy (teething toy), loves Paw Patrol, enjoys jumping, walking, and playing in water (pool and bath). He is still in diapers and doesn't perform self-care, requiring assistance with dressing, bathing, and meal preparation. At 5 years old, he's quite tall. He feeds himself with his hands or a spoon. He cannot see on the left, so play on his right and hold his left hand when walking. :)
