Concept Naval has been delivering innovative and customized solutions to ship operators, shipyards, and various maritime stakeholders for over 35 years. We are looking for a Mechanical Engineer to join our barge design team in Quebec City or Montreal. This unique role offers significant involvement in future-oriented projects, including those aimed at reducing greenhouse gases, aligning with emerging maritime industry technologies. If you have mechanical engineering experience and a passion for or a keen interest in the maritime field, this position combines mechanical engineering and naval domains.

You will have the opportunity to:

  • Design barges implementing equipment like cranes, drills, and more.
  • Conduct barge stability calculations for client operation safety.
  • Resolve technical issues for clients.
  • Propose innovative solutions and validate them.
  • Engage with clients in discussions.
  • Perform structural and mechanical checks on barges and support elements.
  • Evolve the tools used for these tasks.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering.
  • Member of the Quebec Order of Engineers (OIQ).
  • 2 years of relevant experience, maritime engineering experience is an asset.
  • Proficient in French and English.
  • Structured, methodical, autonomous, and rigorous work ethic.
  • Excellent communication skills.
