We are excited to represent CAA-Quebec in the search for their next passionate and motivated Legal Advisor in commercial law, ready to take on strategic challenges.

This unique role will allow you to support various internal teams, contribute to large-scale projects, and play a key role in modernizing contract practices and ensuring compliance with data protection within an organization renowned for quality and diverse services.

Key Responsibilities

Your role as a Legal Advisor will be 70% focused on commercial and contractual law (IT service contracts, commercial agreements, partnerships, insurance) and 30% on data protection and compliance.

  • Draft, analyze, negotiate, and review a wide variety of commercial and corporate contracts, mainly focused on information technology.
  • Advise managers and directors on legal risks and issues in ongoing operations and strategic projects.
  • Provide clear and practical legal opinions on commercial, corporate, regulatory, real estate, and insurance law.
  • Develop and maintain contractual models adapted to different sectors.
  • Ensure legal monitoring and contribute to internal training on best practices and ethics.
  • Support the data protection officer in policies, directives, and request management.
  • Coordinate certain mandates with external legal resources.

Desired Profile

  • Bachelor's degree in law and a member in good standing of the Quebec Bar or the Chamber of Notaries of Quebec.
  • Five (5) years of relevant experience.
  • Strong skills in contract drafting.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to adapt advice to a varied internal clientele.
  • Asset: expertise in IT, data protection, and insurance.
