Job Description: The Sheet Metal Technician - Assembly is tasked with assembling components using mechanical, chemical, or other methods to produce completed assemblies that meet precise specifications. This role requires individuals who are adept and versatile with critical thinking skills and the ability to operate independently.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Perform complex sheet metal assembly operations involving various parts and assemblies
  • Interpret drawings to develop tooling, assembly requirements, and sequences
  • Prepare raw materials, use chemical compounds for bonding and coating
  • Fabricate, assemble, and rework experimental, production, and prototype assemblies
  • Construct simple fixtures and templates for assembly work
  • Ensure all parts and assemblies comply with supervisor directives and requirements

Education & Experience:

  • High School diploma or equivalent; Aircraft Structures course is beneficial
  • 3 years' experience in aerospace metal component assembly
  • Skilled with tools like bandsaws, brakes, punches, and more

Skills & Capabilities:

  • Rivet installation/removal, extensive fastener knowledge
  • Time management and multitasking skills
  • Independent and customer-focused with adaptability in fast-paced environments

Physical Requirements:

  • Indoor tasks, frequent standing, walking, and handling of tools
