Position Overview: The shunter in the waste collection sector is responsible for the safe maneuvering of trucks and trailers within the transfer site yard or sorting facility. Position vehicles for loading, unloading, or maintenance while adhering to schedules and environmental safety standards.

Main Responsibilities:

• Move collection trucks and trailers as needed
• Position vehicles at unloading docks, wash stations, or maintenance
• Coordinate with drivers, dispatchers, and garage
• Maintain accurate vehicle movement records
• Adhere to environmental safety standards and internal procedures
• Manage vehicle flow to avoid congestion and optimize operations
• Assist in building maintenance and coordination of works

Position Requirements:

• Valid driving license (class 1 or 3 as required)
• Experience with heavy vehicles or in industrial environments preferred
• Knowledge of waste management safety regulations
• Ability to work outdoors, occasionally exposed to odors or waste materials
• Independence, rigor, and organizational skills
• Availability for different shifts (day, evening)
• Handy and resourceful

Work Conditions:

• Primarily outdoor work, in all seasons
• Dynamic, sometimes noisy or odorous environment
• Protective equipment provided (gloves, boots, glasses, etc.)
