Position Summary:

Under the supervision of the Head of Tooling Design Office for the G8000 and A220 programs at the Airbus Atlantique Canada site in Mirabel, you will be responsible for the definition, acquisition, implementation, and maintenance monitoring of jigs and tools, ensuring compliance with health and safety standards.

The Tooling Design Office is a team of passionate collaborators working with joy and commitment. Our mission is to tackle challenges with a focus on supporting production in aerospace product assembly.

Your Challenges:

• Manage all jigs and tooling: study requirements, acquisition, implementation, production setup, certification, and replacement or repair.
• Collect and assess tooling needs from production and engineering methods, providing critical analysis as necessary.
• Manage requests from various departments for productivity needs.
• Develop risk management plans with mitigation strategies.
• Estimate technical solutions and prepare quotes.
• Approve supplier's tooling drawings and provide technical support.
• Conduct supplier visits or factory tours as needed.

Your Profile:

• A diploma in tooling design or a degree in mechanical engineering or other relevant fields.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in methods or tooling.
• Aeronautical industry experience and assembly process knowledge are preferred.
