Job Overview

Under the supervision of the Tooling Design Office for the G8000 and A220 programs at Airbus Atlantique Canada in Mirabel, you will be responsible for the definition, acquisition, implementation, and maintenance tracking of jigs and tools, adhering to health and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess and critique tooling needs for production and methods.
• Collaborate with suppliers to find technical solutions and cost estimates.
• Lead project phases: study, mandate, acquisition, and implementation.
• Develop risk management plans with mitigation strategies.
• Determine required tooling, create supplier illustrations, and conduct testing.
• Approve supplier tooling drawings and manage changes.
• Maintain supplier follow-up and organize site or supplier visits.
• Innovate and improve existing tooling in partnership with production and engineering.
• Engage in continuous process improvement for project management.

Candidate Profile

• College diploma (DEC) in tooling design or related experience.
• Minimum 5 years in methods or tooling.
• Mechanical design and manufacturing experience.
• Membership in OIQ is an asset.
• Knowledge in assembly processes and aeronautics tools principles.
• Proficiency in reading technical drawings and tolerance principles.
• Familiarity with SAP, Microsoft Office suite, and Catia V5.
• Proactive, rigorous, reactive, and team-oriented.
• Strong interpersonal skills, leadership, and autonomy.
