Requirements
Driver requirements
- You are at least 25 years old.
- Valid Quebec driver's licence: class 5 or higher (only numbers 1 to 5 are eligible) and no “X” condition on the licence.
- One year of driving history.
- Driver training certificate.
- Annual assessment, which reviews your driving history and background check.
- Any smartphone that can download and run the Lyft Driver app.
Vehicle requirements
- 4-door vehicle from 2016 or newer.
- Quebec vehicle licence plate and registration.
- Insurance listing the driver as the primary, secondary or occasional driver.
- The car's model year may vary by region.
- Depending on where you sign up to drive, you may be subject to additional requirements.
More information
No experience is required, but you may be a great candidate if you have experience as a delivery driver, professional driver, truck driver, taxi driver or other transportation experience.
